It's a long story, but I can do my best to summarize.

As I mentioned, I'm an astrophysicist whose specialization is wormholes. A colleague of mine and I came up with plans to create a machine that could generate and anchor a stable, traversable lorentzian wormhole that could take us out of the enclosure. To this day, I'm still not 100% sure what went wrong. It's possible we did actually manage to leave, but I'm not sure where we went. It looked similar to the coordinates we entered, but something was . . . off. It's hard to describe. Whether we actually pierced the barrier or the location we saw was some sort of location is indeterminable. The machine was ruined by the attempt. I'm honestly not too sure what happened to it after the plan failed.

If you're familiar with what happens to those who are kidnapped and experimented on? That sort of happened to us too. I went blind, and two of my colleagues were turned deaf and blind, respectively.
