[ Jane has, slowly but surely, been adding things to do to her life outside of working nigh-obsessively on her Get The Fuck Out Of Luceti project with Tony.
Today, she takes a break from her routine of staring at pages and pages of complicated astrophysics notes and data and occasionally chipping in new design documents for the machine they're building and heads out to actually do something else.
First, she heads to the Battle Dome. She spends several hours there, running two separate simulations. The first is based on her varied attempts on star charts of Luceti's skies. It does not go spectacularly well, considering those stars are fake. The simulation she creates is rather in depth - it leaves her standing in a dark sea of stars, and she wanders among them, occasionally jotting down notes in a little black notebook she's carrying. A couple of times she can't help a delighted smile. If only this technology existed at home.
The second simulation is a little less galactic in nature. In fact, it's rather mundane, all things considered: she's turned it into a firing range. Wolfwood started teaching her how to handle a firearm, and she's practicing now, shooting earmuffs on and stance correct. She's not a great shot, but she's not horrible either, and you know what they say - practice makes perfect.
Later, she simply heads out to the woods, not very far at all outside the village. It's freezing, but she's finds it's easier to concentrate out here than it is indoors. She clears some snow off a log and can be found out there for about an hour and a half, practicing with the spirits. She took Yoh's advice rather to heart and has been having more and more luck. She practices with Nala, Eferin, Sona, and Kipinn, little bursts of magic dancing around her, much to her delight. She's not very good at it just yet - but she's good enough to at least make it happen, and the feeling is incredible.
Lastly, she heads to the library to pick up some new books before heading home. She's in a fairly cheerful mood most of the day and, barring some sort of disastrous accidental run in with Loki, will be in good spirits to anyone who happens to run into her. ]
